About This Archive

This website is a personal memorial and research archive dedicated to the life of Herman (Zvi) Freiman — my grandfather, a Holocaust survivor from Boryslaw, Galicia (Nowadays Ukraine).

The archive brings together documentary evidence from the Arolsen Archives (ITS), Yad Vashem, and personal family photographs, alongside historical context about the Jewish community of Boryslaw and the events of the Holocaust in eastern Galicia. It is a work in progress, and will continue to grow as new sources are found.

About Me

My name is Sharon Fraiman. I am Herman's grandson, based in Israel, Kiryat-Ata. I created this archive to preserve what is known of his story, and share it with the rest of my family.
